Javier Colon is the winner from Season 1 of The Voice. He was the fourteenth singer to be seen on the Blind Auditions and sang "Time After Time" by Cyndi Lauper. All four of the coaches pressed their buttons but Javier chose to join Adam's team.

Adam then chose during the Battle Rounds to pair up Javier with Angela Wolff and gave them the song "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King. At the end of their performance Adam chose Javier to take through to the Quarterfinals and Angela was eliminated from the competition.

During the Quarterfinals, Javier sang "Angel" by Sarah McLachlan and was 8th to sing during the live show. Javier also sang with the rest of his team and their coach Adam Levine to "With a Little Help from My Friends" by The Beatles. Javier was saved by the public and moved on to the Semi-finals.

At the Semi-finals, Javier sang "Fix You" by Coldplay and was 6th to sing during the live show. The final four were announced based on a mix of public's vote and voting of their coaches. Both carried equal weight of 100 points for a total of 200 points. Javier received 65 from Adam and 73 from the public advancing him to the Finals ahead of Casey Weston. In the results show the final 8 all performed together to a "Faith/Freedom '90" medley by George Michael.

At the Final each of the contestants performed an original song and a duet with their coach. Javier's original song was called "Stitch By Stitch" and he and Adam both sang "Man in the Mirror" by Michael Jackson. During the results show Javier sang with Stevie Nicks to "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac. Javier was announced the first winner of The Voice at the end of the show, also making Adam the winning coach.
